Fazer's Chocolate
Fazer is one of the largest corporations in the Finnish food and confectionery industry.
The company was originally founded by Karl Fazer in 1891, as a "French-Russian conditory" in central Helsinki. The company founded by Fazer is still in existence. Many of its products have become classic. This is particularly true with "Fazer's Blue", a brand of chocolate that is often compared with salmiakki, a candy which a part of Finnish national identity. Today, the company employs over ten thousand people in Finland as well as Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Russia, the Baltic countries and the United Kingdom.
